Subject: [northbaybirds] Farallons Swallow-tailed Gull AND Blue Rock Thrush on same day!
SO close... and yet so far away...

Per this ebird checklist, yesterday, birders on the Farallons were treated to a Swallow-Tailed Gull AND a Blue Rock Thrush.

Wow - right place at the right time. (and yes, we live in a pretty amazing place for great birds!)

alas - restricted access, so only a few will get the pleasure of looking for these birds... but I'm wondering if my inflatable kayak is up to such a voyage, and would the birds be kind enough to pose on an outcrop for a boat-based view for one willing to paddle ;-)

Curious if the same Blue Rock Thrush photographed at Cannon Beach in Oregon on 21Apr? (if yes, why would he be moving south?)
