Subject: [SanDiegoRegionBirding] Little Stint, etc.
The Little Stint appeared this morning on "stint island" at 10:05 AM, and as usual it tended to frequent the inside (left side) of the island, at and just before the bend/elbow. It is now in alternate plumage, but it is not the brightest bird in the world and is assumed to be a female. It has now appeared most recent days sometime between about 9:45-1:00. It should be departing any day now, so if you wish to see it, go sooner than later! And overcast days are best so that there is minimal heat distortion.

Visiting birders today have reported the continuing wintering Plumbeous Vireo at the B&B and the continuing wintering Hepatic Tanager in Wing Street Canyon, the latter setting a new late date for a wintering bird by several days.

The monthly meetings of San Diego Field Ornithologists (SDFO) are currently virtual, open only to members, at 6pm on the third Tuesday of every month.

Two notable on-line resources are available for San Diego birders: the San Diego County Bird Atlas by Phil Unitt (2004) - http://sdplantatlas.org/BirdAtlas/BirdPages.aspx ; and an update of notable records for San Diego County (2002–present), compiled by Paul Lehman - https://bvaudubon.org/birding-resources/ .
