Subject: [sbcobirding] Refugio Canyon Monday
All,

I spent about 4 hours birding Refugio Canyon this AM. Weather conditions were good and there was a big flight of over 80 Western Kingbirds and 190 Cliff Swallows. The latter included my first Vaux's Swift of the year. Numbers of warblers and vireos remain fairly subdued, with only one Warbling Vireo heard. I did detect 2-4 each of Nashville, BT Gray, and Cassin's Vireo. I had my FOS Ash-throated Flycatchers and Lazuli Buntings. The highlight was a well seen Hammond's Flycatcher.

The weather may be good tomorrow as well but I can't make it.
