- Comments: "Heard calling for ~1 minute in eucalyptus on east side of MY Creek opposite Patterson Open Space Park. Merlin ID'd as summer tanager and Jamie C agreed (via Slack). I was only experienced with the two-note 'pit-tuck' call from summer tanager(s) at Lake Los Carneros, but the pitch/quality of the sound roughly matched what I've heard from those birds.

Never saw the bird. Sounded like it was ~30-40 feet up in eucalyptus from the direction of the sun. I quickly crossed to the east side of the creek, but I could not re-locate bird by sound or sight."
