The first of the 2024 migration bird walks at Ft. Harrison State Park, Indianapolis, produced 42 species on the morning of April 7th. Highlights included Yellow-bellied Sapsucker, two Cooper's Hawks, Northern Rough-winged Swallow, Blue-gray Gnatcatcher, Louisiana Waterthrush, and a few Yellow-rumped Warblers. The co0mplete list is below.
There will be a bird walk each Sunday in April and May at Ft. Harrison SP. Meet at 8am in the NE corner of Delaware Lake parking lot.
