The weather was very nice for a walk in the marsh, better than it has been for the past week or so, and the frogs were singing as loud as they possibly could! We compiled the following list of 33 species, including thirteen species of waterfowl.   Trip leader: John WinebrennerCanada Goose  18Mute Swan  10Wood Duck  2Blue-winged Teal  8Northern Shoveler  2Gadwall  4American Wigeon  4Mallard  16Green-winged Teal  2Redhead  4Ring-necked Duck  28Lesser Scaup  8Ruddy Duck  6Pied-billed Grebe  2Mourning Dove  2American Coot  135Sandhill Crane  1Wilson's Snipe  1Double-crested Cormorant  2Great Blue Heron  25Turkey Vulture  2Cooper's Hawk  1Bald Eagle  3Red-shouldered Hawk  1    A nice adult bird that perched near us twice, once for a front view and once for a back view!Tree Swallow  35American Robin  3House Sparrow  3American Goldfinch  2White-throated Sparrow  1Song Sparrow  9Swamp Sparrow  1Red-winged Blackbird  40Common Grackle  27John WinebrennerFort Wayne
