Weather: Morning rain delayed the start of the count. Counted near the car for an hour and a half between the two main bands before steady rain ended the count again. Strong to very strong ESE winds, but we were sheltered by the tree line.
Raptor Observations: A surprising amount of activity in between the rain. A few dozen Turkey Vultures. A couple Ospreys and Bald Eagles. Seven Northern Harriers, a Coop, and two kestrels. Migrants were low going into a head wind.
Predictions: TOMORROW: Cloudy with rain and snow. Temps in the mid to upper 30s. Winds ENE at 15-25mph. Expect light migration. Count may be shortened or canceled.
FRIDAY: Cloudy with snow showers changing to rain showers. High 42F. Winds NW at 10-20mph. Expect light migration. Count may be shortened or canceled.
