Another ASH-THROATED FLYCATCHER was reported this morning at Round
Valley, 11-17-23, photographed by Beth Meriwether, looks like the scuba
diving area.  As per a text report.

An EARED GREBE was reported yesterday, 11-16-23, from Manasquan
Reservoir by Evan Knudson in Ebird.

No reports yet this morning of sage thrasher or violet-green swallow.

I wouldn't normally put up a notification on Jerseybirds about birds
like VIOLET-GREEN SWALLOWS, generally not chaseable, but one sighted
this morning, 11-15-23, in Cape May has been staying, making the rounds
in company with tree swallows, spotted multiple times.  Another big rarity.

Keeping Cape May in the mix, there is a GRAY KINGBIRD reported just now
flying towards Sunset Blvd. via the CMBO alert.

Is Gray Kingbird slowly becoming more common?  Another Florida bird.

November rarities continue as per text alerts.

A LIMPKIN was photographed yesterday, 11-12-23,  in private yards in the
Manasquan area.  However, the bird disappeared quickly and has not been
relocated today.  This should be a first state record, part of this
scattering of limpkins observed all around NJ.  More should be coming in
future years, if following the pattern of other southern waders.

A SAGE THRASHER was reported and photographed just before 11 am this
morning, 11-13-23, by Bill Elrick in the SE corner of the Wildlife Drive
at Brigantine.  Unfortunately, this bird also flew away.

Updates on both birds welcome here, and I will try to update as well.

The WESTERN KINGBIRD continues today at Picnic Grove 1 at Spruce Run
(Hunterdon Co.).  An ASH-THROATED FLYCATCHER was found yesterday at J
Lot at Sandy Hook (Monmouth Co.).  No reports today.
