I saw a Broad-winged Hawk yesterday late afternoon at Oahe Downstream. (past the campgrounds, where the road curves rather than turning down Diver's Point). According to range maps at Cornell, migration is in eastern SD but not this far east. Audubon migration maps have uncommon for most of South Dakota, with common migration along far eastern South Dakota. I realize maps might not be exactly right but this was the first broad-winged I had seen in South Dakota.
