The Quail Hill Loop trail is open again now. I just walked it: it is completely clear and not muddy at all.
I had a pair of white-tailed kites circling in the vicinity of the seasonal pond. Not much else to report, as I didn't get my target species (blue grosbeak and grasshopper sparrow), but the kites were groovy enough.
