Today 4-18-2024 I spent some time looking for migrating shorebirds. Nothing unusual seen with a couple of */Semipalmated plovers/* seen for a few seconds while */Dowitchers/*, */Western sandpiper/* and some */Dunlin/* were present in good numbers.
There were 4 */Clark's grebes/* in the channel next to the boat launch and at Harriet Mundy pond there was a */hybrid Northern shoveler x Blue wing teal/*- it maybe the same one seen in previous years.
Do not disclose information that identifies the location of nesting birds of any species, to minimize stress on the nesting birds and the risk of vandalism or abuse.
