Observation start time: 09:15:00
Observation end time: 16:00:00
Total observation time: 6.75 hours

Official Counter: Mike Zebehazy

Observers: Steve Kempf

Visitors:
Steve Kempf; Kathy; Carol Lukaszewski; Dave Todtenhagen, who provided much
help in the last two hours; Wendy Zebehazy; Leo (aka Lackawanna Leo)

Weather:
Temperatures ranged from 48F to 59F (9C to 15C). Wind was a fairly constant
9 to 11 mph from the west. The sky was partly cloudy for the first hour,
then cleared almost completely overhead with small banks of clouds on the
horizon. Humidity started at 89% and dropped each hour, reaching 50% by the
end of the watch.

Raptor Observations:
Migrants moved through in clusters. Broad-wings and TVs predominated. There
were small kettles of vultures, usually with some broad-wings mixed in;
however, most of the broad-wings came through individually as singles or in
groups of two or three. There was one osprey in each of the first three
hours, as well as two sharp-shins and two Cooper's hawks. A third Coop
buzzed through in the last hour. Small numbers of red-tails came through in
each hour. The third hour had the only two kestrels of the day and a
single, adult bald eagle.

Non-raptor Observations:
A pileated woodpecker called loudly from the nearby woodlot. On the pond
were two pairs of common mergansers, one wood duck and a small flotilla of
Canada geese.

Predictions:
Similar to today with sunny skies, westerly winds and temps between 50F
and 60F.
