Griffith Wildlife Biology has openings for two trap technicians along the Santa Maria River. Trap Techs will work 2-4 days per week, about 1 hour per day, from April 20 - July 2, and daily pay is $40, 1099 income. Techs will use their own vehicle, and will check the traps by driving along the Levee (we have a permit to access the Levee gates and drive to each of the traps).
The project protects endangered songbirds, who nest along the Santa Maria River. Identification of non-native brown-headed cowbirds and the native seed eating birds is desirable, but not required. Techs are trained on site and complete a daily data sheet, submitted via email.
Applicants should email a Resume with at least two Reference to <griffithwildlifebiology...>
