Subject: Re: Dunn Ranch update, Harrison County
After seeing a couple reports of one at Taberville (St. Clair County), I
went there this morning and immediately saw one male on the lek. Since
there isn't any public admittance into that unit right now as to not
disturb them, my small camera and phone were able to get a few decent
pictures, which will be uploaded to the eBird checklist. Other cool
species included grasshopper sparrows, a scissortail flycatcher, a vocal
mockingbird and at least brown thrashers, as well as the common species
including meadowlarks and crows. Full list from that enjoyable two hrs is
on eBird.
