Weather: Rain and snow showers delayed the start of the count. Partial clearing in the midday before becoming overcast again. Moderate to strong northwesterly winds.
Raptor Observations: A decent push of Turkey Vultures from the late-morning on with a total of 449 for the day. Smaller numbers of other expected migrants including six harriers, two Cooper's Hawks, a red-shoulder, and two red-tails.
Predictions: TOMORROW: Mostly cloudy. High 48F. Winds NW at 10-20mph. Overall similar to today. The weather has been poor for several days so the birds may be ready to move at any chance. I expect a decent Turkey Vulture migration plus small numbers of other expected species.
SUNDAY: Partly cloudy. High near 50F. Winds NNE at 5-10mph. An unfavorable wind direction but fairly light and the sun should be good for generating thermals. Expect light to moderate migration.
Monday: Mostly cloudy. High 52F. Winds SE shifting NE at 5-10mph. Expect light to moderate migration. ======================================================================== Report submitted by David Brown (<davidebrownpa...>) Braddock Bay information may be found at: http://www.bbrr.org/
