Weather: Mostly cloudy in the morning with clearing skies throughout the afternoon. Moderate to strong WNW winds. Count conducted from and near the car to stay out of the wind.
Raptor Observations: Slow for the first few hours of the count. Migration picked up as it became more sunny in the afternoon then slowed again towards the end. A few hundred Turkey Vultures migrated in small groups. Small numbers of other expected migrants. Twenty red-tails and one red-shoulder. One kestrel. An immature GOLDEN EAGLE around 12:15pm EST migrated along the lake shore.
