Date: 6/5/26 9:38 am From: Chris McCreedy <cristofolos...> Subject: ESbirds: Spring 2026 Mono County reports for North American Birds
This is a reminder to all who birded Mono County during the Spring Season (1 Mar 2026 - 31 May 2026) that reports, descriptions, and photos of notable sightings are needed by 15 June 2026. Please finalize your eBird checklists or email reports to me by that date. I can be reached at <cristofolos...> or <cmccreedy...>
When reporting a rarity, please specify in the species comments:
1. the initial observer 2. the author of the documentation
This information will be used to properly credit the observer(s) in the NAB report. Also, please take the time to properly document and describe a rarity so that the observation is worthy of becoming a permanent ornithological record.
In addition, please email me regarding observations of:
1. notable high counts 2. notable high and low elevation observations 3. out-of-range observations
Thank you for your diligence in reporting your records. Also, thank you to everyone that sent reports last season! Your reports were easy to understand and very helpful.

California Bird Atlas Big Weekend Kicks Off TOMORROW
From June 4–7, birders across the state will take part in the
inaugural *California
Bird Atlas Big Weekend* — a statewide effort to document California’s birds
and the breeding behaviors that help us better understand and protect them.
*Atlas anywhere in California.*
You don’t need to attend an event to participate. Document breeding birds
wherever you are — from remote habitats to backyards, balconies,
neighborhood parks, farms, wetlands, beaches, forests, and city streets.
Curious where your atlasing will provide the most value? CBA is excited to
introduce a new tool for exploring blocks. *Blockboard*
<https://lq9tp.r.a.d.sendibm1.com/mk/cl/f/sh/SMK1E8tHeGZMUqmJs0o6ZNFKlaQj/Mr5m9Oe5ItvT> is a one-stop dashboard for tracking progress in any block, including
overall survey effort and which species still lack breeding evidence.
The dashboard will update daily as new Atlas data comes in, making it
easier to see where progress is happening and where more coverage is needed.
Date: 6/2/26 1:12 pm From: Rosanne Howard <rosiehoward1...> Subject: ESbirds: Spring 2026 NAB Report Sightings
Hello birding friends,
This is a reminder to all who birded in Inyo County during the Spring NAB Season, 1 March 2026 - 31 May 2026, that reports, descriptions, and photos of notable sightings are needed by 11 June 2026. Please finalize your eBird checklists or email reports to us by that date. We can be reached at <chris93514...> or <rosiehoward1...>
We anticipate that most information for the Inyo County subregional North American Birds report will be gleaned from eBird.
In addition, please email us regarding observations of:
1. notable high counts 2. notable high and low elevation observations 3. out-of-range observations
North American Birds Regional Reports have transitioned online. Inyo County NAB reports are part of the Southern California Regional NAB Report, available digitally here: https://www.aba.org/southern-california/.
Best in birding, Chris and Rosie Howard Bishop, California
