Great find by Thomas Judd late afternoon. I was alerted by another birder and raced over around 6:30pm. The adult Tricolored in breeding plumage was in view at one of the fishing ponds & feeding actively. It would occasionally fly between a couple of the ponds. It was hanging out with a Great Blue Heron later so you could really see the impressive size difference.
About 30 or 40 minutes after I got there and saw it, it flew off to the northeast and disappeared. No way to know if it went to roost for the evening or if it will disappear overnight but I was very thankful to have the opportunity to see it as it is an Ohio bird for me.
Good luck to anyone who tries for it tomorrow.
