Subject: [Ohio-birds] Denison Thursday morning
I waited until the light rain let up to make a quick walk. Had a late morning appointment so had to limit my time.

Ended up being a fairly birdy walk although the clearing by the ponds with power tools was depressing & made birding by ear impossible. Can’t believe it looks like they’re going to strip out the rest of the undergrowth surrounding the ponds. This area in the past had always been a great migrant trap as well as a breeding area for residents.

Before the power tools started, I heard a N Waterthrush. If it’s the same bird, it’s been by the ponds a few days now. It hangs out near the pond edge in, you guessed it, heavy undergrowth.

Another find was a loudly calling
