All: There is an Eastern Phoebe near St Andrews Lane and Spyglass Circle (near Dillion Road) in Louisville CO. I observed this bird at about 11 am this morning (Friday) and it was watched on and off for 40 minutes. Eastern Phoebe's are not uncommon along parts of the Front Range in spring and summer, but NOT in January. The bird was very "flighty" - perching on rooftops, gutters, and treetops. It was moving frequently into backyards, front yards, and along the sidewalks. Listen for a loud "Tik!" - louder than a junco. Also note: Say's Phoebes also appear this time of year occasionally and are becoming more common in winter. Visual markings were distinct on the Eastern Phoebe. Note that you can loop back behind some of the houses, as there is an adjoining bike \ walkway off of St Andrews Way. Please be considerate of private properties.
