Subject: [SanDiegoRegionBirding] Clay-colored Sparrow, more orioles and tanagers
On Thursday the 9th, there's a Clay-colored Sparrow at Colina del Sol Park, located south of SDSU. It was along the south edge of the park and pitch-and-putt, with a flock of about 10 Chippings and several juncos. Photos in eBird report. In the past, the Chippies and juncos would also be seen more in the center of the park around the margins of the ballfields. WARNING: Some people may feel uncomfortable birding at this site by themselves.
In the past several days, I've added a few more Bullock's Orioles and Western Tanagers, with single new Bullock's at Emerald Hills Neighborhood Park in Emerald Hiills, at Kearny Mesa Comm. Park, and at Vacation Isle on Mission Bay, and a continuing Bullock's along Rose Creek. Two Western Tanagers also along Rose Creek. Continuing Summer Tanager at Lindbergh Park in Kearny Mesa/Clairemont Mesa East. A new Black-thr. Gray Warbler at Kunkel Park in Lemon Grove.

The monthly meetings of San Diego Field Ornithologists (SDFO) are currently virtual, open only to members, at 6pm on the third Tuesday of every month.

Two notable on-line resources are available for San Diego birders: the San Diego County Bird Atlas by Phil Unitt (2004) - http://sdplantatlas.org/BirdAtlas/BirdPages.aspx ; and an update of notable records for San Diego County (2002–present), compiled by Paul Lehman - https://bvaudubon.org/birding-resources/ .
