Not my 2025 FOY but I am not complaining, as I did not dream of being able to report a (6th) sighting of a Lesser Goldfinch male, in the (FOY) yardbird eBird checklist I was compiling this morning while sitting by the kitchen window. All the visits have been brief but at least I managed a couple of good-enough photos (duly submitted as Media with the eBird checklist) before the mixed finch flock he arrived in, departed. Hope 2025 is an amazing birding year for everyone.
