A lot of us in Carteret County are determined to keep John Fussell's Christmas Bird Count going. It is a part of his legacy. I last birded with John on December 15, the original date for this CBC. He had postponed it until January 5 due to bad conditions for boat crews. If you are a regular counter on the MHC CBC, please contact me or Jeannie Kraus to confirm your status for this Sunday and your count area.
