12/18 Milford, Connecticut Audubon Coastal Center. 10am-1PM. sunny,
37-50F, mid-tide-rising, sunny, the marsh was like a sheet of glass
reflecting the golden color of the marsh grass.
In the parking lot I was greeted by a Cardinal, 4 House finches and Merlin
identified a Yellow rumped warbler-but I couldn't locate it.
A few visitors today enjoying the views and our avian friends.
On the marsh: (viewed with bins & scopes) about 71 Canada Geese, 2
mallards, 11 American Black ducks, 10 Gadwall, 14 Buffleheads swimming &
diving, 1 American Wigeon, 1 Northern Harrier coasting over and 3 Ring
billed gulls.
On the grounds & feeders:
4 Northern Cardinals, 3 Chickadees, 4 Titmice, 3 Song sparrows, 8 House
finches, and 4 House sparrows.
Wishing everyone a very Happy & Birdy 2025.
Bev Propen, Orange
