Subject: [NFLbirds] Yard birds in TLH
For most of the day, we watched migrating birds trickle through our yard in
the Lakeshore area of Tallahassee. Most of them stopped at our bird baths
and mister dish to drink and bathe. Highlights were one Kentucky Warbler,
four Hooded Warblers (1 male, 3 females), an American Redstart, two
Veeries, and a female Baltimore Oriole. Summer residents were also
conspicuous and included North Parula, Red-eyed Vireo, White-eyed Vireo,
Acadian Flycatcher, Ruby-throated Hummingbird, and Summer Tanager (one
male, two females). Overall bird activity dropped noticeably around 4:00 PM
when the wind shifted to the east, although titmice, chickadees, and
abundant cardinals continued to visit the feeders. Yesterday afternoon, a
Blue-winged Warbler stopped by to bathe.

Best,
