This morning at Farm Island, I saw this Great Blue Heron on Hipple Lake. The
water here is 8-10 ft. deep. I'm sure I have seen GBH's swimming on deep
water before, sometime in the distant past, but the oddest thing for me is
the fish it has caught, a paddlefish! I wish I had seen the entire event,
but all I can say for sure is the heron was able to take off with the fish.
