Weather: The Lookout was in the clouds until 0930 when we had our first view into the bowl below. Full cloud coverage all day with one moment of sunshine at 1246. Calm ESW winds 0-5 mph. Visibility opened from minimal 75 feet in the morning to 20 miles in the afternoon. Humid 66 to 77 degrees F.
Raptor Observations: Juvenile and Adult Red Tail, local raptors, showed some good views flying in both directions; perhaps they were interested in the posted owl. A Cooper's hawk flew up ridge.
Non-raptor Observations: 5 Ruby-throated Hummingbirds; a Blue Jay, Mourning Dove; 9 Common Raven; 24+ Cedar Waxwings. A porcupine was spotted along the road to the hawk watch.
Ed Wanamaker celebrated a birthday today; Rick Gaeta brought canollis!
Predictions: Chance of shower and thunderstorms after 11 AM. Cloudy then gradually becoming mostly sunny.
