Weather: Light SSE winds turning stronger from the SE as the day progressed. Heavy fog in the morning lasted until almost noon before slowly lifting. A few hours of sunshine quickly gave way to strong thunderstorms. Heavy rain just after 1:00 chased us off the mountain.
Raptor Observations: 11 migrating raptors. Most of the birds were low and provided great looks. Several migrants and locals took passes at the owl pole.
Local TV's, RT's, and SS's noted. 2 adult bald eagles flew north after escorting the migrants.
Bald eagles: adult @ 12:37, juv. @ 12:40.
Non-raptor Observations: Several species of swallowtail butterflies observed. Lots of chimney swifts flying around.
