Porch-sitting after the Phillies game paid off! A single Nighthawk flew Westbound over the field across from our house. I looked for more but that was the only one.
A short time later, two bats came out into evening light and entertained us with their aerial ballet dipping and fluttering after insects.
For the second day in a row a Baltimore Oriole visited the Hummingbird feeder for a long drink.
We did a double take on a large bird perched on a telephone pole. We often see Eagles at the neighbor’s chicken farm; however Binoculars determined it was a Turkey Vulture not an immature Bald Eagle.
