My dogs had me up last night to go outside. They were barking so I went out to investigate. I’m not sure if they heard what I did to prompt their barking, but I did hear the unmistakable “Who cooks for you” of the Barred Owl. It was rather close to the house in the neighbor’s woods. I woke up Marcy to listen, but it didn’t call for her. I heard it several times. That’s one we seldom hear anymore where we live.
