Subject: Great Egrets Levittown Bucks County |
Late this afternoon, about 5 PM, we saw one Great Egret in the creek behind
our home.
About an hour later I looked out again and saw 2 Great Egrets perched in the
trees on the far side of the creek.
About 7:30 when I looked again there were now 3 Great Egrets perched across
the creek.
They stayed until about 7:45 and then flew off together. I saw one circling
in the distance.
I had hoped they would roost overnight.
Several years ago, we had one occasion where 5 Great Egrets perched across
the creek.
I have to go back through my year lists and monthly logs to find out when
that was.
