Subject: [CT Birds] Veeries
I’ve read that veeries are very good predictors of the hurricane season and that they will leave their nesting grounds early, sometimes even abandoning nestlings if the hurricane season is going to arrive early or be particularly intense. Hurricane Beryl was the earliest Cat5 in history. Maybe these little birds know something we don’t.
