Green-winged Teal (Anas crecca) (2)
- Reported Jul 09, 2024 06:52 by Mark Holmgren
- Goleta Slough Ecological Reserve--Area K, Santa Barbara, California
- Map:<q...>,-119.84824&<ll...>,-119.84824
- Checklist:
- Comments: "Adult Male and female. I saw these birds only once while scoping from the West Goleta Sanitary District compound (with their permission). I could not find them once I returned to the bluff-top overlook into Area K. Small ducks with all dark bills. I saw the green facial pattern, the gray flanks and sides, and the vertical white bar on the chest. Female identified by presence with male and no features were inconsistent with it being a GwTe. I wonder of these were the same 2 birds present at NCOS yesterday."
