Subject: [BostonBirds] Ten Warbler Species Today at McLaughlin Woods
I birded here from 7:00-1220. Almost immediately upon entering McLaughlin Woods, I added three new year birds: Great-crested Flycatcher, Rose-breasted Grosbeak, and Black-throated Green Warbler:
Red-tailed Hawk 1
Sharp-shinned Hawk 1
Turkey Vulture 1
Chimney Swift 2
Great-crested Flycatcher 1
Least Flycatcher 1
Blue-headed Vireo 2
Common Raven 2         must be nesting nearby
Ruby-crowned Kinglet 4+
House Wren 5
Carolina Wren 4
Wood Thrush 1        top level (brushy level)
Hermit Thrush 5
Gray Catbird 12
Black-throated Blue Warbler 1
Black-throated Green Warbler 1
Black and White Warbler 6
Prairie Warbler 1                       jungle gym area; stayed there the whole time I was there, apparently
Nashville Warbler 1+
Yellow-rumped Warbler 6
Ovenbird 2
Yellow Warbler 2
Northern Parula 6
Magnolia Warbler 1
Eastern Towhee 1+
Swamp Sparrow 1
Savannah Sparrow 4
