Virgin Creek Beach saw a lot of shorebird activity early this morning -
my list:

Western Sandpiper
Least Sandpiper
Sanderling
Semipalmated Plover
Dunlin
Ruddy Turnstone
Red Knot
Black-bellied Plover
Short-billed Dowitcher
Whimbrel
Marbled Godwit
It paid to go out in that horribly cold wind! I only wish I had worn a
jacket!
I didn't add Killdeer to the list. So that makes 12 total species of
shorebirds, with 11 of them being migrants
