Weather: Some brief early morning sunshine with westerly winds, becoming overcast with northerly winds and rain as a cold front passed. After a few hours of rain it remained overcast with moderate northerly winds.
Raptor Observations: Only a handful of migrants including some Turkey Vultures and Sharp-shinned Hawks. The highlight was an adult Peregrine Falcon. Also two Bald Eagles counted as migrants and a few others hanging around the bay, a Northern Harrier, and an American Kestrel.
Predictions: TOMORROW: Sunny. High 44F. Winds NE at 5-10mph. The wind will push raptors away from the lake shore and blue skies will make spotting difficult. Expect light to moderate migration. Count may be held at Frisbee Hill.
FRIDAY: Mainly sunny. High 52F. Winds SE shifting NE at 10-20mph. Expect light migration. Count may be held at Frisbee Hill.
SATURDAY: Cloudy with rain developing later. High 58F. Winds SSE at 15-25mph. Chance of rain 70%. Good southerly winds but the rainy conditions may hold back the raptor flight. A day to keep an eye on. ======================================================================== Report submitted by David Brown (<davidebrownpa...>) Braddock Bay information may be found at: http://www.bbrr.org/
