We have been working hard on the Sailing Lake Island this winter and early spring and it has paid off with 144! BLACK SKIMMERS on the island. This is the largest number ever on the island and this could be the largest BLSK flock recorded in the Bay Area. Bill Bousman, Mike Rogers, or Steven Rottenborn may be able to confirm or deny that. Attached are some BOC pics. They will be uploaded to eBird shortly.
