Subject: [ia-bird] gulls
Driving home from Cherokee yesterday, I saw a big flock of birds (100+)
following a farmer tilling the fields - gulls. I was so disappointed; to
me, they all look the same: gray & white. But I pulled over & my little
binoculars pulled in enough detail to see gray & white, black heads, & ...
pink?!? Merlin said Franklin Gulls - they were physically beautiful with
their pink tummies, but also beautiful in flight. Excited to actually
figure out a specific gull!
