Subject: [IN-BIRD-L] Ft. Harrison SP, 4/21 - Wood Thrush, Prothonotary and Cerulean Warblers
The Sunday morning migration bird walk produced 45 species on April 21, at Ft. Harrison State Park, Indianapolis. Highlights included a calling Barred Owl, a singing Wood Thrush, and nine warbler species. Warblers included a cooperative male Prothonotary along with looks at a female, a slightly cooperative Cerulean that sang and sang but was not seen by everyone in the group, and good looks at a Louisiana Waterthrush along Fall Creek. The complete list of birds is below.
There will be a bird walk each Sunday in April and May at Ft. Harrison State Park. Meet at 8am in the NE corner of Delaware Lake parking lot.
