Dusky Flycatcher (Empidonax oberholseri) (1)
- Reported Apr 20, 2024 06:09 by Jacob Crawford
- Upper Table Rock Trail, Jackson, Oregon
- Map:
http://maps.google.com/?ie=UTF8&t=p&z=13&<q...>,-122.8880172&<ll...>,-122.8880172 - Checklist: https://ebird.org/checklist/S169483565 - Comments: "Initially heard calling in dense shrubs at (42.4661876,
-122.8859183). Dry “whit” calls similar to Willow Flycatcher, at least
based on the East Coast empids I am most familiar with! A drab gray empid
with a weak eyering, fairly large dark bill, and dirty gray/offwhite breast
and belly. Heard a single, dry, “bean-dip” as well. The bird flicked its
tail upwards and then slowly lowered it when perched on a branch
stationary. Photos and audio available."
Purple Martin (Progne subis) (4)
- Reported Apr 20, 2024 09:44 by Susan Kirkbride
- Lower Table Rock--Savannah Loop, Jackson, Oregon
- Map:
http://maps.google.com/?ie=UTF8&t=p&z=13&<q...>,-122.9474616&<ll...>,-122.9474616 - Checklist: https://ebird.org/checklist/S169555663 - Media: 2 Photos
- Comments: "It looked like three males and a female. Males all parts were
dark blue, shiny, pointed wings. The female was more grayish, with a pale
belly and darker chin/bib. They were quite vocal. The four were together,
flying around the tall power supports near the parking lot."
