On my way to pick up dinner in town, I made a quick trip around Hi Lonesome. The first vision was of several large raptors in the air. Two were Bald Eagles and three Turkey Vultures. There was another Bald Eagle in a nearby tree along with two immature BAEAs. This was along Klink Avenue. When I turned the corner onto Hi Lonesome Road I saw a bird in the middle of the road--an Upland Sandpiper!!! First of the Year--always a welcome sight.
There were also a few other birds: Eastern Meadowlark, American Kestrel, and Northern Bobwhite.
It was a good short trip.
Happy Birding
