I have a busy feeder. About 2 weeks ago I found a dead goldfinch, completely intact, in my backyard, too far away from the house to be a bird strike. Today I found a dead purple finch, also completely intact and far from windows. I put the purple finch in a box in my garage. Can it be tested for avian flu? If I knew it was likely to be avian flu should I stop feeding the birds?
Thanks, Fred Kardon
