- Comments: "found earlier by Jeff Miller along the PCT near where the
metal gate separates the Sky King Cole property from BLM. walked the trail
and the area above tried a short playback and heard a responding bird down
below trail 150 or so meters. this is an area thick with mid elevation
montane shrub habitat. scanned below and walked area above and heard a
second unsolicited reponse. then hear a third response from below. returned
on hike back a couple of hours later and saw and heard nothing...should
note that this is pretty much same area where birds were seen earlier in
December 2023."
