Weather:
Interesting weather day with many Kodak moment cloud formations. Temp rose
from 50-60F. Winds strong most of the count varying from S to WSW later.
Distant thunder second part of count. Spotty showers.

Raptor Observations:
Relatively slow count. Two juvenile bald eagles, one osprey.

Non-raptor Observations:
Banner day for Common Loons: 27
DCCormorants in migration: 19

Other birds of note for the BOS Annual Bird count: the usual Robins,
Grackles, Starlings, Crows, Cardinals, Canada Geese (15), Blue Jay, RW
Blackbirds.

1 RB Woodpecker heard, 1 DC Cormorant on pond, 2 RB Mergansers on pond, 1
Common Goldeneye, 1 Chipping Sparrow, Several local TVs, 2 local Red Tails,
1 Killdeer, Titmouse heard, 2 N Flickers.


Predictions:
NOAA: Mostly sunny, with a high near 58. West wind 8 to 13 mph.

This spring only "all volunteer" watch is conducted at Lakeside Cemetery in
Hamburg, NY. It is located on flat lake plain located along the shoreline
of the east end of Lake Erie, about 10 miles south of Buffalo, NY.
