Subject: [OrangeCountyBirding] Vaux's Swifts, Irvine, San Diego Creek
If anyone is looking to pick up some Vaux's Swifts for their Life/Year/County/5MR Lists or just for the joy of it all, during my bike ride this morning, Vaux's Swifts were plentiful along the San Diego Creek in Irvine. In the morning, one group was foraging over the creek outside the Treehill Trail area of the San Joaquin Marsh. On the return portion of the ride, Vaux's Swifts were still in the area of Treehill Trail. A second, rather notably large group (~100 birds) were very active along the bike trail just outside the San Marco Park (Irvine) entrance along the bike trail between Main Street and Alton Parkway at 12:20pm.
