Subject: [NEBirds] L waterthrush
I went out to the Fort Falls trail on Fort Niobrara NWR this morning for the first time this Spring and encountered one or two Louisiana waterthrush as expected.  Singing and visual ID.  I hope to get to some of the other possible breeding sites this year to document continued evidence of breeding.
About 20 red crossbills at or near my feeder this morning at my house SE of Valentine.  I have had about 2-4 individuals for 3 weeks.
