Nepaug Reservoir
¼mile from the Freedom drive entrance, Canton.
I've never seen a kite before, so I don't know if that's what I saw. I
really don't want to embarrass myself with a false ID.
Soaring raptor, very light gray/ white under body, thick, single black band
on the tip of the tail.
Plenty of pine sisken at the Reservoir. Also a plethora of gnats. Be
warned.
Osprey have built a nest at the 179/202 junction in Canton overlooking the
Farmington River.
