I've had that happen here for several years. They leave their droppings all over my car and fight with the bluebird in the mirror.

4/4 Wilton home- just sharing an interesting (and annoying) observation. We've had Eastern Bluebirds nesting in our yard ever since I put up boxes 23 years ago, but for the first time this year a male is incredibly territorial flying up to our kitchen windows but even more so our car windows, attacking them and emptying his last meal, nonstop; he’s obviously seeing his reflection thinking it’s another male. I’m aware of other species having this early-in-the-season territorial behavior but never heard of Bluebirds doing it too. I hope he has this same feistiness when the House Wrens arrive and try to usurp him from the nest box as they so often do.
