Weather: Overcast at the start of the count becoming mostly sunny. Light westerly winds strengthened to moderate northwesterly winds.
Raptor Observations: The flight was of variable height throughout the day and was mostly shifting between overhead and parkway-side. Spotting was difficult with the blue skies in the afternoon.
A steady flight of Turkey Vultures from mid-morning on, for a total of more than seven hundred for the day. A dozen each of Bald Eagles and harriers. Four Cooper's Hawks. Moderate Buteo migration with 3 red-shoulders and 41 red-tails. The only falcons were two kestrels.
Predictions: TOMORROW: Mix of sun and clouds. High near 45F. Winds WNW at 15-25mph. Spotting my be difficult when the sky is blue. Strong winds will make viewing uncomfortable, especially in the afternoon. Expect light to moderate migration.
