Hi Folks!
I birded at the Preserve this morning from 8:00 until 10:30.
In order of abundance the top three were American Robin, Yellow-rumped Warbler (including a Myrtle), and Ruby-crowned Kinglet, flashing their crowns. There were robins everywhere along the trail, but especially in the meadow and open areas.
Wild Turkey were also along the edge of the meadow with a few deer.
FOY Yellow Warbler along the creek was a highlight, along with several singing Song Sparrows.
Other birds seen or heard: White-winged Dove, Mourning Dove, Great Blue Heron, Turkey Vulture, Gray Hawk, Gila Woodpecker, Red-shafted Flicker, Ladder-backed Woodpecker, Common Raven, Bridled Titmouse, White-breasted Nuthatch, Bewick's Wren, House Finch, Lesser Goldfinch, Canyon Towhee (singing), Abert's Towhee, and Northern Cardinal.
